Martinique Yacht Charter is a family business based at the Marina du Marin: the same faces from one season to the next, and boats we prepare ourselves.
Our story
A family venture built to last
It all started with Autremer Concept, the company founded in 1999 by Anne and Yvon Szekely. For more than fifteen years, they sailed their fleet of catamarans out of Martinique.
In 2015, Anne and Yvon retired and we, Thibaut and Edwin Szekely, took over. We continued to look after the boats of the Autremer Concept fleet, with which we remain closely linked, and at the same time we set up Martinique Yacht Charter : to offer our own boats for charter, as well as those of owners who entrust us with their management.
The handover happened within the family, seamlessly: the same attachment to the boats, the same high standards, the same wish to see you set off with peace of mind. It’s a story we’re building for the long term.

Martinique Yacht Charter is founded: our own boats, plus charter management for owners.
Thibaut & Edwin
In the office and on the dock
Thibaut and Edwin head up both sales and the technical side. They’re the ones who talk to you to prepare your cruise, and they also personally handle about 90% of the boat preparation. You’ll meet one of them for the boat handover before departure.
Hands-on technical work
About 90% of the boat preparation is done by Thibaut and Edwin themselves. They know what has been checked, adjusted or replaced before you arrive.
A family business
A small team, based all year round at the Marina du Marin (pontoon no. 5): the same people, season after season.

You’re in the right place: it’s the same family, still in Le Marin, and we continue to look after the boats of the Autremer Concept fleet. Martinique Yacht Charter is its natural successor.

Edwin Szekely
Sales & technical
A graduate of ESC La Rochelle business school, Edwin leads Martinique Yacht Charter’s commercial strategy and builds lasting relationships with our clients. He is also skilled in the technical side of boat maintenance.
Thibaut Szekely
Operations & fleet
An engineer by training, Thibaut runs the fleet with great care: maintenance planning, reliability and energy autonomy of the boats, so that your sailing goes smoothly.
Christiane Edmond
Client relations & administration
With more than 30 years of professional experience, over 20 of them in boat charter, Christiane makes sure bookings run smoothly and provides personal support from your first enquiry to your return. Her knowledge of Martinique is invaluable in planning your stay.
A network of local professionals. We also work with qualified professionals in Martinique — certified mechanics, cleaning teams and experienced skippers — who share our high standards.
